Two more weekends before we fly home. Yesterday being a saturday, we went to the local mall to finish shopping. In Delaware, i guess like most place is America, you are stuck if you dont drive. However, a very kind lady from office offered to drop us and pick us up, thanks to which we could get most of the shopping completed.
When one starts to travel - one is supposed to be street smart, independent and explorative. However, when you are in the middle of a strange place with strange people, i guess its not too much to expect collegues to 'offer' to help. These are people from my company, my city, my country. However, the expectations proved to be false, and someone we hardly knew came to our rescue.
Sitting at home on weekends is really sad. I share my room with a collegue whose favorite hobby is calling up her hubby and fighting. I am the unfortunate witness to their shouting matches and then the default sob shoulder for this woman - it just drives me nuts. I realised how much the vindictiveness had rubbed off on me when i suddenly caught myself making similar comments to my husband, and checked myself just in time.
Its so important to suround yourself by the right kind of people, especially if you have a weakness for getting influenced.
Tomorrow's monday so will hit bed early - looking forward to an exciting week@work!
